Álora is a wonderful location for touring the superb cities of Andalucia, exploring the coast to the east and west of Malaga, and enjoying the magical pine forests and mountains of El Chorro and the Ardarles national park with its fantastic lakes, and the beautiful scenery of the Guadalhorce Valley and inland Malaga Province.
Finca Los Llanos has looked over the fertile Guadalhorce valley of orange and lemon trees for nearly 200 years, and the olive trees around the house have probably been there for about the same time.
The farmhouse originally threshed the crops from the area on its large 'era ' (threshing floor) in front of the house.
We were instantly charmed by the old farmhouse when we found it over two years ago, which we have now totally refurbished - and we have also built a large single story cottage at the rear, which we have called Casa Los Olivos.
Our wish is to share this lovely part of the world with others, and we now offer Casa Los Olivos as very well-equipped self-contained accommodation.
There are two large bedrooms, both opening on to the front terrace, an en-suite bathroom, a large walk in shower room, and a huge living/dining room with fully equipped kitchen. The house can easily accommodate six people, but is lovely with just four.
We also offer bed and breakfast in the farmhouse. The rooms have
en suite shower rooms and have comfortable beds. An evening meal is
available too, as well as BBQs at week ends. We have a ground floor
bedroom/family room with cot or single bed, with walk in shower
and an en-suite double room with balcony above.
Meals can be taken in the walled courtyard, or in the dining room.
